Applying this mindset, Talon Wellbore began developing their first product, the Extender, in 2017. About the founder
Tal Elfar has a long history in the oil and gas industry. He began his career in various skilled trades before having his eyes opened to the opportunities in the oil sands in 2001.
In 2003, Tal moved on to work for the largest tool supply company in the world, where over the next 14 years he gained expertise in various downhole sectors worldwide. He considers himself lucky and describes this to be the best experience through being surrounded by some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry.
In 2017, Tal founded Talon Wellbore. With ideas to innovate how completions are done, the Extender came to life, and a fleet of various novel technologies followed. The vision Tal has always had for Talon Wellbore is to lead the innovations in downhole completions tools, while staying grounded to traditions worth holding on to.
To Tal, the relationships he has with customers, and the community that is fostered within Talon Wellbore are what matters. Each tool within the company portfolio has been designed with input surrounding nuances within downhole operations, and it is a value deemed imperative.
